Scenario of wanting to do something soon between programming meeting.
e.g leeting homophobic church in jesmond private hire – you need to send email around to ask for any objections. Put emergency programming decisions into Monday night meeting.
A promoter who wants to be part of cinema but is not yet and wants to put a gig on (and would propose it in written format to programming group).
A promoter who is here regularly
Someone who just wants to come and do a one off gig, and might turn up just before the meeting.

Also a night of live performance sound track to one of her silent beauties.
Thinking It may be better to spread the screenings to cover a evening a week for two-three
weeks.
Debs, do you fancy linking this with your idea of a month concentrating on female directors?
Also one more thing; I would like to carry on with the pre screening workshops such as The
Owl Project last year. But this needs more thought, planning and funding.
Idea:
A screening of the short film by German director Jurgen Bottcher (about women working in a light bulb factor entitled STARS, followed by Cassavetes feature SHADOWS. I think it weould be a really nice opening event.
Idea: A screening dedicated to Haltwhistle Film project with a q+a afterwards - them selecting their favorite films over the last however many years and talking about their attitudes towards working with young people.

Guy Sherwin - George from Lux reckons its a safe bet that he would do man with a mirror. which we saw in brussels and was really beautiful (http://www.luxonline.org.uk/artists/id/607786/) - he'd definitely be up for coming up to perform at the opening and he's working on some new stuff. actually there are some other really interesting film performances around at the moment - so how about a night of film/music performances? there is a really great one by emma hart and ben drew that they are performing at kill your timid notion in dundee - with the splices in a film playing an electric guitar. http://www.killyourtimidnotion.org/ find the section about them.
