Have you got a key?

  • Heating - there is a small display panel at the bottom of the boiler bit of the heating system. On the display, press OVER. Click (1) for OVerride Mode. Click (1) for ON, (or (2) for OFF) and then click enter. The heating comes on for 4 hours, or turns off if you follow these instructions.
  • Who is doing what? Enough volunteers? And new ones looked after?
  • Make sure cash is available for bar and door volunteers - i.e if they run out of pound coins.
  • At the end of the night: Locking Up
  • Turn off all plug switches, apart from the fridges (Make sure volume down on amp before switching off) .
  • Turn off the bar lights (by bins, and main door)
  • Bolt the front blue doors and hook the metal L-shaped bar through the hasp.
  • Turn off the lights at the front - switch in the box office
  • Lights off in the hall way, (switch by projection booth stairs) after checking the cinema. The lights for the cinema are controlled by 2 dimmers in the projection box between the 16mm and 35mm projectors.
  • Check the toilets for people and explosions - turn off lights
  • Lights off in back corridor space after checking the office area
  • Unlock door handle
  • Set alarm
  • Leave, shut the door, and lock the door handle by turning key to the left. The door handle freaks many people out. Familiarise yourself with it before trying to lock it - really understand the principal of what the handle does when you turn it (i.e there is no need to SLAM the door, because the handle, if you look carefully, is merely lifting a bolt up so it doesnt hit the floor). When the door is locked, the handle is impossible to turn. When it is unlocked, it is possible, but difficult to turn - make sure you are convinced that it is impossible to turn before leaving when locking up!
  • Incidentally, bins go on a wednesday.

Good night!
