The task of collating the cinema brochures text and information

This job means you are working in between the programmers and the designer. It is your job to collect all the information together for the programmers as one file to give to the designer. There is a deadline for the programmers every two months for them to get their info for you.

What you need from them- Title of film/event. Director, Blurb- this should be limited to a cretain number of words- eg 50 words in order to avoid tiny fonts etc film format, time and date, length of film, language/country is good too as this can be the attraction for some of the audience.

The information from the programmers is sometimes pasted in the wiki but it is sometimes emailed in the star and shadow gmail account. It is best to start collating before the deadline as inevitably you will have to chase people up.

The best thing is to be strict with your deadline. The essential thing is for the information to reach your designer in time so we get the brochure in time too.

There is a form which you send out to film programmers in receipt of their film information. It must be filled out by them if there film is to make the programme. It checks that they have confirmed the theatrical rights to screen the film, actually booked the film and some information for the projectionists. form for programmers

If there is special projection information then this should be made into a file and printed out and pinned up in the projection booth so plans can be made for any specific projection requirements.
