We need to encourage more women to programme gigs, or at the very least, encourage more gig promoters to programme female musicians. At the moment, our gig programming is too male, too white and too rockist. I'd also say it was terribly age-ist (seriously), but that's a reflection perhaps of our active volunteering membership. White and male certainly isn't a reflection of our active volunteering membership.
